Saudi club have just made £30m bid to sign Arsenal 'magician' adored by Mikel Arteta - Romano

The English transfer window has slammed shut but Arsenal have just received a last-gasp offer for a first-team star.
Arsenal have been busy thinning their squad in the transfer window this summer with five players leaving permanently and five more leaving on loan.

The Gunners completed deadline day deals for Raheem Sterling and goalkeeper Neto, while Aaron Ramsdale, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah all completed moves away from North London.

Manager Mikel Arteta claimed he was “happy” with his squad as the window closed, adding that he is working with a “magnificent group of human beings”.

However, Fabrizio Romano has just revealed that Arsenal have a huge decision to make with the transfer window now closed after a big-money offer arrived from Saudi Arabia.

Arsenal receive last-gasp Leandro Trossard offer
One of Arsenal’s most impressive players this season has been Leandro Trossard, who has forced his way into the starting lineup after scoring in the 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

Trossard, who was signed by Arsenal for £27m in January 2023, is adored by Arteta with the Gunners boss hailing him as a “magician” towards the end of last season.

However, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad have submitted a £30m proposal to sign Trossard ahead of their transfer deadline.

Via X, Romano said “Saudi side Al Ittihad submit proposal in the region of €35m for Leandro Trossard.

“Decision up to Arsenal as he’s always been an important player for Arteta. Official proposal arrives ahead of Saudi Pro League deadline, as Al Ittihad keep looking for new winger.”

Arsenal have huge decision to make
After securing a late deal for Sterling, Arsenal now have great depth out wide with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka also fighting for a spot in the starting lineup.

But losing Trossard would once again leave the North London outfit short of options.

The Saudi offer would allow Arsenal to make a profit on their £27m investment in Trossard, but it would be a huge risk with the English transfer window now closed.
