Alexander-Arnold praised after ‘unrivalled’ England display vs Finland
Unsurprisingly, Alexander-Arnold was again ranked among England’s best performers last night in their 2-0 win against Finland, with the Liverpool defender enjoying a game to remember.
The Guardian noted Alexander-Arnold’s passing as ‘unrivalled’ for the Three Lions as the Liverpool star put on another ‘stunning’ performance for England under Carsley.
The Evening Standard were also full of praise for Alexander-Arnold, with the 25-year-old hailed as England’s best player on the night as the defender caused Finland havoc with his passing.
Finally, the Metro showered Alexander-Arnold with praised after the fullback’s creative output for England, with the defender showing just how good he can be when given the keys to do as much damage as possible.

Alexander-Arnold’s England career has never looked more promising
Although Rio Ferdinand is still banging the drum on Alexander-Arnold becoming a midfielder, the defender showed this week that his future belongs in the right-back position.
The slow end of Kyle Walker’s international career has opened the door for Alexander-Arnold to replace the Manchester City fullback for England, with the Liverpool star showing against Ireland and now Finland that he’s the ideal successor.
And although the idea of playing in midfield is till tempting, it’s clear that Alexander-Arnold is born to play at right-back, with the defender as good as he has ever been in the position this week for the Three Lions.
