'The character is a problem': Arsenal ace criticised for being 'too nice', told he should have…

An Arsenal defender has been criticised for being too nice and that’s why he’s not a first-choice option according to a pundit.
Arsenal have won two and drawn one from their opening three Premier League games of the season with Mikel Arteta’s side being frustrated by Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium.

Declan Rice was dismissed against Brighton which Ian Wright couldn’t believe and the Gunners will have to take on Tottenham Hotspur without the Englishman.

Away from the midfield conundrum, Polish defender Jakub Kiwior has been criticised for his international performances for being too nice amid his struggles to break into the Arsenal team.

During the summer, Arsenal completed the signing of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna and this opened the door for Kiwior to depart.

HITC had reported that Arsenal were open to selling Kiwior amid interest from Inter Milan but the Polish defender has remained at the Emirates Stadium.

Kiwior has been criticised for his international performances by Polish journalist Mateusz Borek when speaking to Kanal Sportowy.

“The character of Kuba Kiwior is also a problem. He is a very polite and well-behaved boy who does not say his grievances out loud,” Borek said.

“He does not question certain choices, and sometimes it is simply easier for the louder ones. Sometimes, for example, you can somehow force the club to make a decision.

Ex-Poland international Marek Koźmiński has also had his say on Kiwior’s situation at Arsenal and concerns it could have an impact on the national team.

“Perhaps he made a big mistake, because he had the opportunity to leave the English team in the summer transfer window,” Kozminski told Futbol.pl.

As mentioned, Simone Inzaghi’s Inter Milan were keen on the Polish defender but no move was forthcoming for the versatile ace.

Kiwior may well be limited to cup appearances due to the signing of Calafiori, whilst Kieran Tierney has been named in Arsenal’s Champions League squad so he could be even further down the pecking order.

The Polish defender is clearly talented but is seemingly not being given the chances to impress under Arteta, perhaps January is the perfect time to leave the club.
