‘Unbelievable’: Neto says that he's already been really impressed by one player after joining Arsenal

Arsenal made a couple of late signings on transfer deadline day last month, and Neto happened to be one of them.
Mikel Arteta left it late to conduct some of his transfer window business as Neto and Raheem Sterling made their way to London Colney.

Sterling’s addition already looks valuable. There have been rumours that he’s set to start up top for Arsenal against Tottenham on the weekend due to Kai Havertz dropping deeper.

Aaron Ramsdale ended up leaving for Southampton as he goes searching for regular minutes, which forced Arsenal into bringing in a back-up goalkeeper in the form of Neto.

Both Neto and Sterling will no doubt have big parts to play this season with European and cup competitions forcing Arteta to rest players.

Interestingly, it seems as if Neto has been left impressed by one of his Arsenal teammates…

Neto left really impressed by ‘unbelievable’ Arsenal teammate
David Raya has established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in world football after originally joining as a back-up to Aaron Ramsdale.

The Gunners paid £27 million for the Spaniard which is an absolute bargain in the current market.

And, it’s clear to see that Neto’s already been a big fan of the goalkeeper when speaking on Arsenal’s official YouTube channel.

“Unbelievable. I think he’s playing the last two seasons in the Premier League. I can understand how difficult it is to keep the clean sheets. It is very difficult to win a game in the Premier League. So any time that you win this, you have to enjoy (Golden Glove) because it’s difficult, so congratulations.”

What does Neto bring to Arsenal?
The Brazilian has plenty of experience at the age of 35, with 323 appearances under his belt for clubs like Juventus, Barcelona, Bournemouth, Valencia and Fiorentina.

Neto has impressed Micah Richards in the past and on paper, so it was a no-brainer for Arteta.

Should David Raya suffer an injury, Arsenal fans can feel confident that Neto can do a good job in his absence as he was a first choice Premier League goalkeeper last season.

As the captain of Bournemouth under Andoni Iraola at times, he also has the leadership qualities to be a big voice behind the scenes at Arsenal.
