AFC Bournemouth vs Arsenal early injury news with 3 out and 2 doubts

Arsenal have an away trip to AFC Bournemouth on Saturday night. The Gunners are 3rd in the Premier League table behind Manchester City and Liverpool.
They won 3-1 at home to Southampton last time out. Here is a look at the latest injury news ahead of the weekend...

Bournemouth’s main absentee is midfielder Tyler Adams. He hasn’t featured at all yet this season due to a back problem but is close to returning to training.

In this latest update regarding the former Leeds United man, their boss Andoni Iraola said: “I think Tyler will not be fit for Leicester game (last time out), but he's almost there. I think he's going to train fully with the team in the international break.

“I think he will train almost fully after the Leicester game because he's doing very well. He has done even some things with us. So, he will be after the Leicester game for me it will be like almost, we will have no injured players, someone who will start training normally with the team.

“And from there it's a matter of how long it takes to take the rhythm of the others because obviously he has been out for a lot of time, for some months. [It is] the same process, I think that Enes (Unal) and (David) Brooksy are doing, but three or four weeks later.”

He added: “We will use it (international break) to recover physically the ones that have played more and to try to improve and give more chances to the ones that have played less minutes. I hope we can recover also Tyler, and have all the team available. It's good that we are not having injuries and I hope we can continue building in the things that we are doing that I think overall they are good.”

Arsenal
Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli has picked up a calf issue on international duty with Brazil. He will now have to be assessed over the coming days.

Bukayo Saka hurt his hamstring with England but should be ready to play Bournemouth. Lee Carsley said: “Bukayo would have been close (to play against Finland) but it would have been unfair to take a risk with him. He’s a positive person and I expect him to be fine."

Attacker Kai Havertz also dropped out of Germany’s squad but is expected to be available. Meanwhile, attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard and left-back Kieran Tierney remain sidelined, whilst Ben White, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jurrien Timber and Thomas Partey will need to be checked on but most signs point towards them all being fine.

Who is the 'dirtiest' team in the Premier League? Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs ranked alongside Premier League rivals
Speaking after Arsenal’s win over Southampton, Arteta said: “It’s been a very demanding period after the international break, we had so many issues; a lot of injuries, very difficult fixtures, especially away from home and some of them playing with 10 men and the team adapts. The team is so willing. I’m very pleased with the way we’ve come through this period and we’re in a good place.”
