Arsenal Injury update:Arsenal get new Bukayo Saka injury verdict as doctor sheds light in latest Mikel Arteta crisis

Even renowned doctor, Rajpal Brar, has been unable to offer too much comfort to Arsenal following Bukayo Saka's injury scare whilst playing for England. The winger, who started for Lee Carsley's side in the eventual 2-1 defeat to Greece, was forced off in the second half.
Against Greece, Saka lasted just five minutes after half-time before he was replaced by Noni Madueke. Helped by England physios, the 23-year-old was once more seen grimacing and limping as he left the field.

Carsley, who suffered an embarrassing loss on the night, couldn't give much in the way of an update when probed afterwards. "He's being assessed," the interim boss said. "In the build-up to the first goal, you could see he felt something in his leg."

Taking to social media, Doctor Brar explained that in a video from open play: “Saka [is] clearly holding the back of his right leg here which typically indicates hamstring [problems]".

He added: “Unable to watch but am told he felt it during a sprint and then after kicking with that leg. The hope is a grade 0 which means no overt injury and just discomfort. TBD [to be determined].”

There were further issues spotted as well. "Saka subbed out", Brar wrote online at the time. "Took a knock to his ankle in the first half but played through. Hopefully nothing significant...International football continues to be the gift that keeps on giving."

Saka has so far played every game for club and country this season, starting all 13. In the Premier League for Arsenal he has remained as influential as ever, assisting in all but one match, already hitting seven after laying on twice against Southampton last weekend.

For Mikel Arteta, the worry comes at a terrible time. He is already without captain Martin Odegaard following an ankle injury picked up during the last international break. Meanwhile, fitness issues have plagued an already small squad in the early weeks of the campaign.

Arsenal travel to Bournemouth next in the league. There is still over a week for Saka to recover ahead of that match but Arsenal do have cover if needed.

Raheem Sterling remained in north London during the break as he continues to be overlooked for England. Leandro Trossard has also impressed for Belgium, scoring on the same night that Saka picked up his injury.

Arsenal will be hopeful that it won't take drastic action to accommodate for Saka's latest niggle.
