Arsenal make approaches for two impressive strikers

Arsenal go into the international break firmly in the hunt for the Premier League title.

Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit third in the top flight table after a 3-1 win against Southampton on Saturday, courtesy of goals from Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

Having finished second in each of the past two Premier League seasons, the Gunners will be desperate to go one better this time around but they will face stiff competition from both Manchester City and Liverpool.

With that in mind, it appears that the Gunners are working hard to sign a new striker.

According to CaughtOffside, the North London outfit have recently made contact with the representatives of both Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic and Lille star Jonathan David.

It is claimed that Arsenal have been in contact with David, who is set to be out of contract at the end of the current season.

The possibility of signing him as a free agent next summer has gained the attention of several clubs, though, and a deal for the Canada international may therefore prove tricky.

Vlahovic, meanwhile, is said to be keen on the prospect of signing a new contract with Juventus.

That has prompted the Gunners to turn their attention to Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush.

The Egyptian has been in fine form for the German outfit over the past year or so, having joined from Wolfsburg last summer.

In total he has netted 26 times in 50 games for the club across all competitions, as well as registering 12 assists.

The report claims that , as well as Arsenal, both Chelsea and Liverpool have scouted the Egypt international recently.

Fellow Premier League sides Manchester United, Newcastle United and West Ham United are also said to be interested in the 25-year-old.
