Arsenal make decision on future of £45 million Arteta signing amid exit links

According to Fichajes, Arsenal are not interested in selling Gabriel Jesus anytime soon, as Mikel Arteta is ready to keep his faith in the attacker to come good. The Brazilian has suffered a dip in form amid injury troubles, although the Gunners boss considers him a key part of the current group.

Gabriel Jesus tends to build form and sharpness before an injury disrupts his progress, requiring him to start all over again. Such has been his story at Arsenal since his arrival from Manchester City two years ago in a £45 million deal.

Back then, the Brazilian had a stellar start to life under Mikel Arteta, only for a knee problem picked up at the World Cup coming to disrupt his season. Last season, he was in and out of the side, while this season, it has been a similar story, having yet to score or assist in seven games in all competitions.

Fans have expressed some unhappiness about his recent performances, which has led to speculation about his future. In fact, there were rumours of a departure in the summer when Arsenal was linked with some striker names, and Saudi sides showed interest in Jesus.

While he continues to regain top form and sharpness following another injury picked up right before the start of the campaign, Jesus still has plenty to offer. Recently, in the wake of exit rumours, all sorts of stories have been doing the rounds, including former side Palmeiras failing with a bid, as reports suggested they wanted him back ahead of the 2025 Club World Cup.

Arsenal not interested in Jesus’ sale
Arsenal did not want to sell Jesus in the summer, and they are willing to take a similar stance ahead of the January window. The £45 million Arteta signing has the faith of his manager, who believes the Brazilian will come out better from his recent setback.

Moreover, Arteta does not want to disrupt the group ahead of what looks like another season in which Arsenal will challenge for honours across all fronts. Jesus remains a big figure in the Arsenal squad, and offloading him could have a different effect on the group. The Gunners think they are better off keeping him rather than seeing him leave, as the striker will aim to get back into the starting lineup soon.
