Arsenal to negotiate sale of £10m star as Gunners 'lead the way' for £29m midfield ace

According to Estadio Deportivo, the serial Europa League winners believe that they can negotiate down Lokonga’s current buyout fee of €12 million (£10m) and are intent on discussing it with the Gunners later down the line.
24-year-old Lokonga joined the Gunners in 2021 but has spent the majority of his time out on loan, joining the La Liga side Sevilla in the summer. In a surprise move, the Andalucian club - who are known for failing to sign loan players on a permanent deal - are now hopeful of keeping the central midfielder in Spain.

FourFourTwo are reporting, however, that they are now hopeful of negotiating down the aforementioned buyout fee, despite it already being low for a player of Lokonga’s quality and potential.

Arsenal are said to be ‘leading the way’ to signing Shakhtar Donetsk star Georgiy Sudakov. According to the Spanish news outlet Fichajes, Sudakov has been eyed as a serious option that can help Arsenal keep their competitiveness in the Premier League.

However, while the Gunners are seeking to sign the star in the upcoming January transfer window, the Ukrainian side have made it clear that they won’t be allowing their star man to leave before the end of this campaign. It’s also understood that Shakhtar Donetsk will be expecting to receive in the region of £29m for the 22-year-old’s signature.

Sudakov is a midfielder comfortable with both feet and playing in the attacking midfield position as well as the box-to-box role. His talent has quickly caught the eye of Mikel Arteta’s side but any move to north London is not set to be straight forward with the reports noting that Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester City are also lining up to swoop in on signing the rising star in 2025.
