‘HONESTLY SPEAKING’: Peter Crouch has now predicted who will win – Arsenal or Liverpool

Arsenal face Liverpool on Sunday in what ought to be the game of the weekend in the Premier League.

This should be a high-quality contest between two top teams who are pushing to win the Premier League title this season.

Peter Crouch has now shared his prediction for this game on his podcast, and he struggled to pick a winner here.
However, Crouch ultimately did make a prediction, and he tipped his former club to come out on top.

Crouch says that this will be a cagey affair, but due to the injuries to William Saliba and Riccardo Calafiori, he thinks Liverpool could nick a result here, picking the Reds to win 2-1.

“There has been draws in this game, right? So, two of the last three meetings have forever been draws. obviously, they’re both battling out for the title,” Crouch said.

I think it might be cagey. I think, you know, both defences are like, I know they’re missing Saliba, Calafiori, Arsenal.

“So, they have got a few injury doubts. So, Liverpool could nick it. I’m leaning towards a draw, but I’m going to back Liverpool to win, 2-1.”

Arsenal vs Liverpool recent results
As Crouch says, the games between these two sides have been very tight as of late, and that is reflected in the recent results.

Indeed, the formbook isn’t much help when you’re trying to predict a winner here.

Liverpool have won five of the last 10 meetings between these two sides, which does bode well for the Reds, but they have won just one of their last five matches against Arsenal.

These two sides are very well-matched, but, as Crouch says, the injuries in Arsenal’s defence could decide this game.

It’s not only defensive injuries that are important here. Martin Odegaard is also sidelined, while Bukayo Saka is a serious doubt heading into this match as well.

Arsenal have home advantage this weekend, so that should be taken into account, but given how Liverpool have played as of late, it’s fair to say the Reds are narrow favourites heading into this one.
