‘I just feel’: Gary Neville shares who he thinks will win the Premier League this season, The Dark Art or it's rivals

When discussing the Premier League title race this season, many pundits and fans seem to omit Liverpool, only mentioning Manchester City and Arsenal.

However, after six games have been played, Arne Slot’s new Liverpool side sit top of the league, one point ahead of City and Arsenal.
Admittedly, Liverpool haven’t had the hardest of starts – they’re yet to face any side you’d expect to finish in the top six in the Premier League.

But Slot could argue that his side can only beat what it is in front of them, even if Nottingham Forest stole all three points on their visit to Anfield.

That being said, after Mikel Arteta’s side rallied to overcome Leicester City on the weekend, there was a feeling at the Emirates Stadium that this could be the club’s year.

Gary Neville explains why Arsenal will win the Premier League
Speaking to NBC Sports, Gary Neville provided his updated title prediction following the weekend’s Premier League games.

Neville stated that he picked Arsenal at the start of the season and was standing firm on his call, and not just because of Rodri’s injury at the Etihad.

He explained: “I nominated Arsenal at the start of the season to win the league. I do think they are getting closer.

“They will win the league this season, not because of what happened in the last week with Rodri. I just feel that this could be one season too far for Manchester City.

“But look, it’s Pep Guardiola. I think it really seems like he is up for the fight and he is actually taking Mikel Arteta on now in press conferences which is great to see for us.”

In terms of the next ‘big’ game in the title race, Arsenal will host Liverpool on October 27, a big test for both sides shortly after the international break.

Martin Zubimendi could still play a big role in the title-race
Jamie Carragher recently assessed Arsenal’s chances of winning the league, concluding that the title-race was still very much in the balance.

In terms of fixtures, Man City do now embark on a run of games you’d expect Pep Guardiola’s side to win comfortably, with or without Rodri.
