The Spanish centre-back is versatile to play even as a full-back on either side. He is physically strong, fast, and an excellent reader of the game. He is also comfortable on the ball and can even dribble his way out in tight spaces at times.
Cristhian Mosquera can be an additional resource
With Virgil van Dijk being on the wrong side of 30 and in the final year of his current contract, it’s natural for Liverpool to search for replacements in the market. Even if the Dutch defender extends his stay at Anfield, the club will have to start finding fills.
Hence, the interest in Cristhian Mosquera shouldn’t surprise everyone. Though the youngster cannot be a direct replacement for van Dijk, he could be a long-term investment for the Reds. As he gets more opportunities and gains experience, he can transform into a force to reckon with.
