Kent was once tipped for big things at Liverpool, joining the club at the age of seven and working his way up the age groups before being handed his full debut by Jurgen Klopp in an FA Cup tie at Exeter in 2016.
He'd later leave in loan to both Coventry, Barnsley, Bristol City and Frieburg before finding a more permanent home at Rangers under Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.
And in 2019, Klopp praised Kent's contribution to Liverpool's pre-season campaign, labelling him a "wonderful player".
“Ryan had sensational moments in the Sevilla game – one-on-one situations are his big strength,” he said.
“He is a wonderful kid, a wonderful player.
“Very good moments in pre-season, but it is for all the boys always a big challenge as well to show up.
“They probably feel under pressure, which they shouldn’t but it is natural that it happens. I am happy about that, absolutely.”
Kent's only appearance under Mourinho at Fenerbahce came in a Champions League qualifier with Lugano in August, however the winger was taken off in the 68th minute with reports in Turkey claiming the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss was left unhappy with the performance of his player.
Kent had initially signed a four-year contract after leaving Rangers on a free transfer in May 2023.
