'Look at Kylian Mbappe...' Jeff Stelling fires transfer warning shots to Arsenal star

Arsenal are edging ever closer to winning the Premier League title, but they aren’t there yet.

Mikel Arteta has built an outstanding squad during his five years at the club and he can now claim to have some of the best players in Europe.

It has been difficult to watch for Arsenal fans at times, but equally, they have enjoyed several of their star players grow and become top players.

From the rise of Bukayo Saka to William Saliba becoming the best defender in the Premier League, you sense that a lot of pieces are now in place for the team to win the big trophies.

But with that growing reputation comes transfer interest, especially from some of the biggest clubs in the world.

Yes, Arsenal will rightfully regard themselves as one of the big boys, especially in their country, but even their fans will admit there are bigger teams than them in Europe.

The biggest one of all is Real Madrid and, after winning the European Cup last season, they further enhanced their squad by bringing in Kylian Mbappe this summer.

And it seems as though they want to continue to grow, with suggestions that Madrid are keen on Saliba, who is international teammates with Mbappe.

William Saliba warned about joining Real Madrid
“You have got to be careful what you wish for, as well, because there are plenty of people who have gone to Real Madrid or Barca, wherever, and haven’t succeeded,” stated Stelling.

“Look at Kylian Mbappe. He is not finding it straightforward.”

William Saliba is Arsenal’s most important player
First and foremost, you have to give Gabriel Magalhaes his flowers because you could argue that he has been better than Saliba this term.

But overall, the France international is better and perhaps Arsenal’s most important player and the first name on the teamsheet.

The players to contend Saliba for that title are Saka, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice, but defences win you titles and the former Marseille man is the best in that department at the club.
