'Magnificent' Arsenal player is now hoping for January exit after Mikel Arteta decision - Charles Watts

Arsenal are now facing a two week break until their next game as domestic football is put on hold for the latest international break.
This will provide Mikel Arteta to take stock of the opening seven games of the campaign with some of his players dealing with some injury issues.

And then there is the likes of Martin Odegaard who is still recovering from his ankle injury picked up in the first international break of the season.

But there is one Arsenal player who is now coming to terms with not being in the plans of Arteta ahead of the January transfer window.

‘Magnificent’ Arsenal player expected to leave in January
It was not a particularly busy summer window for the Gunners who doubled their number of arrivals in the final hours of the market.

However, there have been some players left at the club who could now be considering their future away from north London following the opening seven games of the season.

And there is one, in particular, who is already expected to make a move away from the Emirates over the coming months.

Speaking in the Daily Briefing, Arsenal correspondent Charles Watts has said Kieran Tierney is no longer in the plans of Arteta.

“He’s not in Mikel Arteta’s plans anymore. That’s been clear for a long time and Tierney accepts that,” he said.

“There is no animosity there. He knows the club has moved on and that his qualities as a left-back are not what Arsenal need in the system that they play.

“He has been included in Arsenal’s Premier League squad for the season so he could play once fit, but I struggle to really see that happening.
