PRICE REVEALED: Brentford name Mbeumo asking price amid Arsenal interest

Brentford will price Bryan Mbeumo out of an exit in the January transfer window amid interest from Arsenal, sources have told Football Insider.
The West London club are expected to demand a fee in excess of £60million for their star forward amid growing interest from Premier League rivals.

However, Brentford are desperate to keep hold of a player they view as vital to their ongoing success and strength as a top-flight outfit.

Mbeumo has scored eight goals in nine Premier League games so far this season, helping the Bees to win four of those games.

Thomas Frank’s side have been free-scoring in those nine games and have already found the net 18 times thanks in large part to the forward’s contribution.

As well as Arsenal, Liverpool are also said to be interested in the right-winger amid uncertainty over the future of Mohamed Salah at Anfield.

Mbeumo’s performances for Brentford in the Premier League have led to long-standing interest as clubs have been keeping a close eye on his progress.

Now, his eight goals in nine games so far have inspired those clubs to consider making their interest formal ahead of the January window.

Brentford are desperate to keep hold of the 25-year-old, but while they may be open to negotiations in the summer, they are expected to stick to their fee in January.

Football Insider reported in the summer that a bid of £40million would have been enough to secure his signature, but that price has now shot up in anticipation of increased interest.
