According to journalist Miguel Delaney, Arsenal are considering a move for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
The Gunners are believed to be eyeing a new number six for the summer window to ensure they have ‘maximum’ tactical options for next season.
And it is claimed the Gunners are hopeful of proving themselves to be Zubimendi’s most viable option despite having three years remaining on his deal.
Just a matter of months ago, Zubimendi rejected Liverpool with Arne Slot looking to sign the Spaniard as his first addition at Anfield.
Mikel Arteta is a big fan of Martin Zubimendi
TBR Football understands it is not just Arsenal who are keen on potentially landing the midfielder with Liverpool and Manchester City also keen.
The midfielder is a player who Arteta is a big fan of with Arsenal having previously made a move for Zubimendi.
However, since rejecting Liverpool in the summer, Zubimendi has not shown any interest in making a move to the Premier League.
Regardless, all three Premier League giants have been asked to remain informed on the midfielder’s situation.
Ian Wright hailed Zubimendi as a potential game changer when Liverpool showed an interest over the summer, so he would likely be warmly welcomed in north London.
