Arsenal star has now undergone an operation following injury - Insider

Arsenal defender Ben White has undergone a minor operation to resolve an issue he has been dealing with for the last six weeks, according to Con Harrison.

The scout and Arsenal insider, who has been featured on the BBC and The Overlap and is followed by the likes of Ben Jacobs, Jacob Steinberg and Darren Lewis on X (formerly Twitter), claimed this afternoon that the Englishman has been under the knife.

The Gunners will now hope he is available to return to action immediately after the international break.

White played 90 minutes in the last two games against Chelsea and Inter Milan, but he missed out on a trip to Preston North End due to load management, with manager Mikel Arteta revealing that he was not involved in the training session the day before the trip to Newcastle United.

The 27-year-old eventually came on to play the last 19 minutes of the game, replacing Jurrien Timber.

He has featured in 12 of the 17 games Arsenal have played across all competitions in 2024-25, and he has had to play through the pain barrier for much of those matches.

White played through the pain barrier against Manchester City back in September and missed the following four games due to a groin injury.

The international break has given him an opportunity to be operated on, and he could be back in action on November 23 against Nottingham Forest given that it is a minor one.

The Gunners will also hope both Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice return to action after they were withdrawn against the Blues due to fitness issues.

They both pulled out of international duty for England while Martin Odegaard was sent back to London by Norway after they decided he should continue his rehabilitation instead of playing in the Nations League.

The trio, Riccardo Calafiori and White could all be fully fit when Premier League action resumes in the next fortnight, which would come as a huge boost for Arsenal ahead of the busy festive period.
