Arsenal have signed all of Davor Suker, Mesut Ozil and Martin Odegaard from Madrid, with Julio Baptista and Dani Ceballos also enjoying temporary stays in north London.
It’s a surprisingly well trodden path, and Mikel Arteta’s side could now be lining up a move for a Madrid playmaker who was once on the books of Manchester City.
TBR Football understands that Arsenal are actively keeping tabs on Brahim Diaz’s situation in Spain, who isn’t happy with his minutes at Madrid.
Brahim Diaz growing concerned about his chances at Real Madrid
After signing for the club from City in 2019, Diaz is growing concerned by his situation at the club and he may therefore choose to leave in January.
In a situation not dissimilar to Arda Guler, Diaz has struggled for chances at Madrid, even if Carlo Ancelotti has assured the Morocco international that he remains a hugely important figure.

Diaz has started just two games for Madrid this season and there’s concern growing within his camp that he may have to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
The 25-year-old spent a lengthy time on loan at AC Milan for three seasons and he is still held in huge regard by the historic Italian club.
In fact, Milan are open to welcoming Diaz back should he come available, but they are not alone in their admiration.
Arsenal and Tottenham both keeping a close eye on Brahim Diaz’s situation
TBR understands that Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are among the clubs watching the situation closely, as they are with Guler.
Arsenal are interested in signing Guler, who displayed all of his rich talent at the Euros last summer.
Of course, should Diaz become available, Man City would also consider bringing him back to the club, such is his talent.
As with Guler, Real are currently stating that Diaz is not available, but there is belief that their stances on both players could change in the coming weeks ahead of the January window, especially if the chance of a potential loan arises.
