Gary Neville makes new Arsenal title prediction as William Saliba warning speaks volumes

Arsenal suffered their second defeat in three Premier League matches as they were beaten 1-0 at Newcastle. Mikel Arteta's side were beaten courtesy of Alexander Isak's first-half header.
The result leaves the Gunners outside the Champions League places after Nottingham Forest leapfrogged them into third following their 3-0 win over West Ham, while Chelsea have moved up to fourth with a 1-1 draw at Manchester United. Although Manchester City's defeat at Bournemouth has eased the panic, Liverpool's victory against Brighton has put moved them back to the top and seven points clear of Arsenal.

Next up for Arteta's men is a difficult-looking trip to Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday, before another tough game, this time at Chelsea next Sunday before the November international break. Here is the latest news and updates from the Emirates Stadium...

Neville prediction
Gary Neville is still backing Arsenal to win the Premier League despite their recent slump in form. The former Manchester United defender predicted the Gunners to lift their first title in 21 years at the start of the season and is not turning his back on them just yet.

"Look, I don’t sit here right now thinking Arsenal are out of the league title, that this is them sort of if you like going back," Neville said on his Sky Sports podcast.

"I think, it might be naive, I might be sat here in three months saying I was completely wrong, this might be what this teams need to actually to be fair go on a massive run and go and win a league title. Because they will be looking at Liverpool and they will be looking at City and thinking, not quite perfect, they are not what they were three or four years ago. This is a big chance. What are we doing? Wake up."

He added: "Arsenal, at this moment in time, there are big questions being asked, but I don’t rule them out of winning the title. I still have them winning the title. And this might be what they need to win the title."

FL says: I agree, I don't think Arsenal are out of this title race yet. It might take an incredible run for them to eclipse Liverpool and Manchester City but Arteta's side are capable of stringing a run of several wins together, as they have shown in recent years. Why can't they do it?

Saliba message
William Saliba has urged his Arsenal teammates to stick together and respond following their recent blip in form ahead of two huge matches against Inter and Chelsea.

He told the club website: "Next week, we have two big games to come back with the win. I think we will do it if we give everything. (Inter is) a big game. If we win, we have the confidence back and we have to do it. We all want to play big games like these."
