So, they will be looking to return to winning ways when they resume their league campaign against Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.
The Gunners are currently fourth in the league with 19 points from 11 games, sitting nine points behind the league leaders Liverpool. So, Mikel Arteta’s side have already found themselves way behind in the title race.
On the other hand, Nottingham Forest have had a promising start to this season as they have accumulated as many points as the Gunners but are just behind them in goal difference.
The Reds defeated Liverpool away from home in the Premier League – which has been the Merseyside club’s only defeat of this season thus far. Therefore, Arsenal will have to be at the top of their game to earn all three points from this fixture.
Team news
Leandro Trossard picked up an injury away on international duty with Belgium but the good news is that he is ready to feature in this game. Moreover, Bukayo Saka, Declan Rice and Riccardo Calafiori are also ready to get involved in this encounter. Jurrien Timber is also available for selection.
But, the disappointing news is that Ben White has picked up an issue and as a result, he is set to remain sidelined for a few weeks.
Predicted line-up
David Raya is expected to continue between the sticks for the North London club and in front of him, Timber, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Calafiori should be the back four.
Thomas Partey is likely to be in the holding midfield position with Declan Rice set to commence alongside the Ghanaian international. Martin Odegaard would be in the attacking midfield role.
Saka should remain in the right flank, while Gabriel Martinelli could be on the opposite side for Arsenal. So, Trossard might feature off the bench. Kai Havertz should be the centre-forward therefore Gabriel Jesus will have to make do with a place on the bench.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Nottingham Forest
Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Partey, Rice, Odegaard; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli
