The one Arsenal player set to drop out of Nottingham Forest team amid huge Mikel Arteta update

Mikel Arteta has given some major updates on his team ahead of Arsenal's game against Nottingham Forest.

The Spanish manager has had to deal with some key players missing important games this season. Whether this be because of red cards or injuries, it hasn't helped the Gunners in their title challenge.

Although Arteta announced the news that Ben White would be out for some months, there is a series of players who should be returning this weekend. On the flip side, when players return to duty, those who were covering for them could face being dropped.

The young Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly is likely to be one of those dropped. The defensive player has featured in the Premier League, Champions League and EFL Cup for the London club this season. Lewis-Skelly was remarkably booked before he made his Premier League debut with a yellow card against Manchester City. Now with some of the big players returning, it will be hard for the 18-year-old to fight his way in.

Arteta said on returning players: "[Leandro] Trossard seems to be OK. He trained this morning and he seems to be feeling good. We will assess everything with the doctor right now. But that's good.

"...Bukayo [Saka] and Declan [Rice] as well, they had the first partial session today. So, very good as well.

"...Riccy [Calafiori] trained today. His rehab has gone really well. He was able to do certain things last week with the physios. He trained on the pitch this week, he trained with us today as well. He will be in the squad."

Although Lewis-Skelly hasn't done anything to warrant him being dropped, more importantly, he hasn't done anything to change Arteta's mind when it comes to picking another player. Although it will be difficult for the Spaniard to have to drop him, making the decision should be an easy enough decision.

Now with Arteta's team getting fuller, he doesn't want to jinx any talk about further injuries.

"Don't even talk about it," he said. "Getting some normality [is what I want], things that happen normally, not everything that happened lately.
