‘Don’t spend too much’: Gooner urges Arteta to forget Gyokeres/Osimhen and sign this local striker instead

In the wake of Arsenal’s latest display in the Premier League at home to Ipswich Town, it has become even more obvious to many that the Gunners are in need of reinforcement in attack.

The January transfer window will be opened in a couple of days, presenting Mikel Arteta with the chance to sign another goalscorer to bolster his squad.

Most fans have been calling for the Arsenal boss to pursue the signature of Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, while others have Nigerian star Victor Osimhen at the top of their wishlist.

However, this Gooner has offered a reasonable argument as to why it is not safe to pursue strikers from foreign leagues.

According to Alex on AFTV, the wiser move would be to sign a goalscorer with Premier League experience, similar to the purchase of Leandro Trossard in 2023…and Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo is rather the man to pursue.
