Jota hasn't been seen in action for Liverpool since his injury during a clash with Chelsea's Tosin Adarabioyo back on October 20. However, the Portuguese forward has been stepping up his recovery, participating in open training with his team-mates on Monday before their flight to Spain for Tuesday's Champions League match against Girona.
Despite not being part of the traveling squad for the Champions League game, Jota continued his rehabilitation back in Merseyside, training alongside Chiesa at the club's Kirkby base on Thursday. Chiesa, who moved from Juventus in late August, has only played around 80 senior minutes since his arrival.
The club is taking a patient approach towards reintegrating the Italian international into the first-team fold, considering he had barely any pre-season with the Serie A giants before his $12.7 million switch.
Chiesa was seen in action for the Under-21s for about an hour in December but had to miss Monday's session due to illness. He returned to training alongside Jota while Slot focused on the main group, who will be crucial for Saturday's match, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Slot is expected to provide updates on their conditions during his Friday morning press conference. Their return would be a welcome boost considering the packed fixture list this month, which includes a Carabao Cup quarter-final at Southampton and a trip to Tottenham next week.
Slot will have to make do without Ibrahima Konate, Conor Bradley, and Kostas Tsimikas for the Fulham game, while Alexis Mac Allister is serving a suspension. However, Alisson Becker is set to return to Premier League action for the first time since October 5, following his impressive performance in Tuesday's 1-0 victory over Girona.
