Mikel Arteta's side have scored from a corner in their last four games across all competitions, most recently with William Saliba's second half equaliser against Fulham in the Premier League this weekend. Arsenal are now the first team in Europe's top five leagues to create more than 10 big chances from set pieces in 2024/25.
While some criticism has understandably been levelled at the Gunners due to the risk of becoming too reliant on their goals from dead ball scenarios, Carragher admitted he's not seen anything quite like it. The pundit noted it isn't necessarily their ability to convert their corners that is the most impressive thing about it, but how difficult it is for other teams to defend them.
"They get a little bit of criticism and we joke a lot that they score from set pieces, but it's absolutely amazing what they've done," Carragher told Sky Sports after Fulham's draw away at Fulham. "Credit to them.
"I've never seen deliveries [into the box] like it, really, with Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka. They never miss the spot. It's not so much what Arsenal do, it's what [the opposition] has to do to try and stop it.
"When you look at what happened midweek against Manchester United, I thought United were embarrassing. You've got to be physical and aggressive, we know they [Arsenal] have numbers at the back post and it's easy for their players to get where they want.
"They're just allowed to run to that front space where they want to go, and we know the delivery is going to be fantastic."
Following Sunday's result at Craven Cottage, Arsenal now sit six points behind leaders Liverpool, although the Merseyside outfit now have a game in hand after their away meeting with Everton was postponed due to the adverse weather conditions on Saturday. Should Arne Slot's side win that fixture, their nine-point gap over Arsenal will be restored.
