Arsenal star 'is considering leaving this month' amid lack of minutes

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho could leave the club this month, according to reports.

The Italy international joined the Gunners from west-London rivals Chelsea for £12million in January 2023 and has proven to be a crucial member of the squad.
The 33-year-old has just six months remaining on his current deal, having signed a one-year extension last summer.

However, as reported by ESPN, Jorginho is considering an exit this month amid his lack of minutes this term.

The reports states that he has been offered to Brazilian side Palmeiras after Arsenal held a meeting with his agent.

It is said that Palmeiras is one of two Brazilian clubs Jorghinto would consider moving to, with the other being Flamengo.

Arsenal have not yet offered him a new deal so the Italian's exit looks to be one that will happen within the coming months.

He has played just played 820 minutes so far this season from the Gunners' 30 matches across all competitions.

A move to Brazil would bring an end to Jorginho's seven years in England, having spent five of those with Chelsea.

The veteran joined the Blues from napoli in 2018 in a deal worth £57m - and immediately became a key player for the side.

The west London outfit won the Europa League in Jorginho's first season at the club, having beaten Arsenal 4-1 in the final.

Jorginho then helped lead Chelsea to Champions League glory two years later, before staring Italy's Euro 2020 triumph that summer.

He established himself as one of the world's best midfielders and finished third 2021 Ballon d’Or behind Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski.
