Outgoings are almost inevitable this summer as a number of senior contracts are set to expire. This month could have more to do with the players Mikel Arteta is able to bring in, with a new winger high on his wish list.
Jose Mourinho ‘in talks' to send Ruben Amorim perfect Man Utd welcome present
One player could still be on his way out of the Emirates Stadium, having been frozen out entirely.
Here, Express Sport takes you through a round-up of the latest Arsenal transfer news...
Nico Williams deal-breaker
Athletic Bilbao winger Nico Williams is a long-term target of Arsenal's, and his stock soared during a superb Euro 2024 tournament with victors Spain. He has not set the world alight this campaign, with only four goal contributions in 17 La Liga matches, but the 22-year-old remains a player Arteta would love to call upon as an option out wide.
On paper, Williams' £48million release clause appears reasonable. His international partner in crime, Lamine Yamal, would cost several times that much. But there is a catch which would hurt the Gunners.
According to The Athletic, the entirety of that fee would need to be paid up front, in one lump sum, denying Arsenal the chance to get creative with their finances and protect their PSR position. As a result, a move is deemed more likely in the summer.

PSG name asking price
An alternative wide option, in case a move for Williams does not work out, has emerged in Paris Saint-Germain star Lee Kang-in. The 23-year-old is a regular under Luis Enrique, but he would reportedly be open to a new challenge.
Arsenal are said to be well aware of the South Korean international, who has scored six Ligue 1 goals this season. But PSG want to double their money 18 months after signing Lee from Mallorca, setting his asking price at a minimum of £37m.
Celtic are in talks to re-sign Kieran Tierney four-and-a-half years after the full-back left Glasgow to sign for Arsenal. Tierney has made two Gunners appearances since the start of last season, having spent 2023/24 on loan at Real Sociedad, and his contract will expire in six months' time.
The Hoops have reportedly held talks over a pre-contract agreement with Tierney, although it is unclear whether that would involve him heading north of the border immediately or waiting until the end of the season.
Arsenal legend Martin Keown is expecting the 27-year-old to make way. "One wishes him well, in terms of his fitness," Keown told talkSPORT. "He had a very difficult time in the summer, didn’t he? He pulled his hamstring and was out for six months, so let’s hope he is fit and well. He probably will be leaving the club."
