Arsenal's Bukayo Saka replacement now looks likely to miss Carabao Cup semi-final against Newcastle United

Newcastle United travel to the Emirates on Tuesday night for the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal, with both sides having to make changes to their lineup.
Bruno Guimaraes and Fabian Schar are both suspended for the first leg clash, so Eddie Howe will have to make at least one change from yesterday's starting lineup after handing Sven Botman his first start since March to cover for Schar's Premier League suspension.

Joe Willock, Sean Longstaff and Lewis Miley will all be hoping to get the nod for Tuesday night's clash, but it will depend on how Eddie Howe wishes to play the game. If the plan is to attack then we expect Joe Willock will come in for Bruno, but if we want to let Arsenal have the ball and hit them on the counter then either Longstaff or Miley would be the better bet.

Eddie Howe isn't the only one with a big call to make now, though, as Mikel Arteta was already missing Bukayo Saka, but now looks set to lose his replacement too.

Ethan Nwaneri is expected to miss the Carabao Cup clash on Tuesday night
Arsenal now have a big injury problem down the right flank
Youngster Ethan Nwaneri has been deputising for Saka and has done really well for Arteta, but he was withdrawn at half time of Arsenal's 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday.

Speaking after the game to the BBC for Match of the Day, Arteta voiced his dismay at losing Nwaneri.

The first leg was feeling a free-hit for Newcastle but not any more
With both Fabian Schar and Bruno Guimaraes missing, and the game being played at the Emirates, there was a feeling that the first leg would be about damage limitation and the hope that we could take the game to Arsenal in February for the second-leg at St James' Park.

However, given our form going into this one, the injury troubles Arsenal have and the disappointing result yesterday, there's nothing to say that Newcastle can't go there and really make a nuisance of themselves.
