Hayden completes Portsmouth move
The 29-year-old midfielder has agreed a move to Portsmouth for the remainder of the season as he looks to help the club escape relegation. Pompey boss John Mousinho said: “Isaac is a central midfielder who has a wealth of experience in the Premier League and Championship. He’s extremely comfortable with the ball at his feet and is also very strong defensively, possessing a lot of the attributes we were looking for. But he’s also a leader both on and off the pitch, so we’re delighted to be able to add him to the squad for the rest of the season.”
Hayden was linked with a return to Loftus Road but will instead come up against former club next month when the R's travel to Fratton Park on February 22. Pompey sit 21st in the table, level on points with 22nd-placed Hull City but do have two games in hand over the majority of sides around them.
