The 21-year-old has already been linked with a move to the Premier League for some time, with negotiations taking place over the summer but no deal being struck.
The Slovenia international scored 18 goals in all competitions last season, his first with Leipzig, and has already netted 14 times this campaign.
Interest in him from England is not cooling, with a number of the Premier League’s biggest clubs keen on the young striker.
Arsenal are in need of reinforcements up front and Sesko is near the top of their list of targets having already registered an interest in him last year.
TalkSPORT report that the player is also keen on the move and when the Gunners, Manchester United and Chelsea came calling in the summer, it was Arsenal who he chose as his preferred destination.
The move didn’t happen, though, with Sesko staying at Leipzig and despite interest remaining, he could well spend the rest of the season in the Bundesliga.
The report states that there is no release clause in his contract and Leipzig do not want to sell this month, so it would take a ‘crazy offer’ to get a deal done before the January transfer window closes.
A move in the summer is much more likely, although Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has admitted that the club are searching for a new striker right now after injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus.
‘My opinion is clear,’ Arteta told a press conference this week. ‘We lost two very important players in Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus, so we lack goals, people, and options in the front line.
‘It’s clear that for the period that we have lost them, ideally we need some help, because we were short already and we’re even shorter. The team has still coped with that but we have do what is right for the club.
‘If we can get the right player, that’s what we are actively looking at, but any player – no, we need someone that makes us better and makes an impact on the team.
‘We have very, very short numbers for many, many weeks and they recognise the situation, we all do. That’s why we are trying to do what is right for the club, the team, that’s our intention.’
