A straight-up, two-year extension on Salah’s current wages - reported to be £350,000 per week in English money.
That is a huge outlay considering Salah is already comfortably outearning every other Liverpool player and that he will be 35 or thereabouts by the time the contract ends.
But it is testament to the fact that FSG maybe do see Salah as an outlier, a player who defies their statistical models. He is a player you truly have to see to believe.
Picture this: In two-and-a-half years time, Salah leaves Liverpool as the all-time Premier League top goalscorer and he’s even got an outside shot at being the club’s all-time top goalscorer too.
With Slot at the helm he’s got the chance to plunder even more top club honours, with the major ones at a premium since 2020.
That alternative would be Salah departing at the end of the current campaign and taking the field for a soulless entity like PSG.
