A run of four consecutive Premier League defeats has brought Wolves back down to Earth – after Vitor Pereira initially restored some enthusiasm with wins over Leicester and Manchester United after replacing Gary O’Neil.

Leaking goals has been the story of the 2024/25 campaign for Wolves – only Southampton have shipped more than the Old Gold with 53 concessions – and despite the signing of Emmanuel Agbadou from Reims, further defensive reinforcements are wanted at Molineux.
Now – according to Foot Mercato – Wolves have seen a bid rejected for another central defender in Kevin Danso.
RC Lens reject £19m Kevin Danso offer from Wolves
The French news outlet are now claiming that RC Lens have rebuffed a €22m (£19m) bid from Wolves for the Austria international.
Danso – who said he dreams of joining Arsenal – was initially approached by Wolves a few weeks ago according to Foot Mercato, a move which RC Lens quickly swatted away.
However, the French news outlet state that Wolves have made another attempt in the last few hours, putting £19m on the table for RC Lens to consider.

However, the Ligue 1 outfit do not want to sell Danso – who spent time in the Premier League on loan at Southampton during the 2019/20 campaign – and plan to keep the Austrian.
Foot Mercato add that the RC Lens No.4 is “listening to the market” – suggesting he would be open to joining Wolves – but does not intend to force a move this winter.
Wolves adore Kevin Danso
A separate report from the Telegraph touched upon the fact Wolves are in talks with RC Lens over Danso – who has been compared to Marcel Desailly – while also adding further details about the transfer saga.

It is said that Wolves have been monitoring the man born in Voitsberg for over 12 months, and are huge admirers of the 26-year-old.
The Telegraph – interestingly – add that Wolves hope to sign Danso before the weekend, so be sure to keep an eye on this deal.
