The Reds have made an incredible start to life under Arne Slot with Liverpool defeating Brentford last time out in the league as Darwin Nunez broke a new record with his late brace.
That victory put the Merseyside club six points ahead of Arsenal with a game in hand after the Gunners would draw with Aston Villa later in the day.

Liverpool were in Champions League action midweek against Lille and despite a 2-1 victory, the contest could have a significant impact on the Ipswich game this Saturday.
Slot’s injury list continues to grow following their European commitments as the Dutch coach is set to be without three key stars this weekend.

Curtis Jones added to Liverpool’s injury list
The longest absence in the Liverpool squad at present is Joe Gomez as the defender has been out of action since injuring his hamstring during the first half of the Reds’ 5-0 Premier League win at West Ham United on December 29.
Having scored the equaliser to earn Liverpool a 1-1 draw at Nottingham Forest last week, Slot has confirmed that Diogo Jota’s injury is serious with the forward set to be out for a few weeks.
Liverpool were dealt another blow against Lille as the Champions League contest saw Curtis Jones leave the pitch at halftime. According to the Liverpool Echo, the Reds are still assessing the midfielder’s issue as it remains to be seen how long the 23-year-old will be out.
The Englishman is expected to miss the Ipswich game on Saturday, despite Jones asking Slot for five more minutes against Lille.
Harvey Elliott to step up in Curtis Jones’ absence
Jones has not been a major part of Slot’s plans this season with the Dutch coach pretty settled on his midfield trio being Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister.
Nevertheless, with the games coming thick and fast, the 23-year-old will be needed over the coming weeks as he is used often by the Reds boss and the midfielder has shown in the past that he can have a big impact.
Luckily, Harvey Elliott looks to be back to his best during Liverpool’s last two matches; and he believes Jones is a ‘world-class’ talent, which shows how highly the player is valued in the dressing room.
Liverpool fans and Slot will hope their injury issues stop here as one or two more to key players, could start to cause some concern amongst the Premier League leaders.
