Rio Ferdinand makes bold claim to solve Arsenal's frontline woes

It is a little over two years since Benzema won the Ballon d'Or after leading Real Madrid to Champions League and LaLiga glory in 2022, but he has since moved on from the Spanish giants.

Meanwhile, Ally McCoist had another striker in mind as he picked out Victor Osimhen - who is on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli - as a suitable option.

'I'd go for Osimhen,' McCoist said. 'He's still been scoring goals in Turkey. His form is not what it was 18 months ago with Napoli, but I think he can get there again.'

Peter Crouch agreed with McCoist, but admitted that Newcastle's Alexander Isak should be the No1 target.

'Osimhen would be a great shout,' Couch said. 'Isak, pay whatever you want, he is the man for me who would change a lot of clubs.'
