'I expect them to be in trouble': Paul Merson predicts Forest v Arsenal scoreline tonight as Reds claim made

Arsenal will hope to get back to winning ways when they head to high-flying Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.

Arsenal’s Premier League title hopes are now hanging by a thread after they lost to West Ham at the weekend, while Liverpool beat Manchester City.

Likewise, Nottingham Forest will be eager to get back to winning ways in wake of their narrow 4-3 defeat at Newcastle United on Sunday.

The Reds were 4-1 down at one point before getting back to within a goal and giving the Magpies a real scare at St James’ Park.

Now, Paul Merson has predicted how both sides will fare at the City Ground as he expects one of the two teams to be “in trouble”.
Paul Merson backs Nottingham Forest to run out 1-0 winners over Arsenal
Merson is at a loss over Arsenal’s lack of edge in attack, admitting he can’t see how they’ll even get a goal against Forest.

The pundit believes his former side will be “in trouble” because he expects Forest to score, and has predicted a 1-0 win for the hosts.

Merson also claimed that Forest’s current front line is stronger than the forwards Mikel Arteta currently has at his disposal.

“I watched Arsenal last week and I can’t see them scoring a goal! I honestly don’t know how they are going to do it,” Merson wrote on Sportskeeda.

“Even if Arsenal play this game with their strongest team, this is still a tough ask away from home at Nottingham Forest.

“Without a proper front-three, I expect them to be in trouble because I can’t see Forest not scoring here.

“I believe Forest have a better chance of winning against Arsenal than City next week.

“By the time they face City, Haaland will be back whereas Arsenal have no real firepower at the moment.

“Forest’s current front-three are better than the injury-free players Arsenal have at their disposal now.

“I’d be shocked if the hosts lost this game to Arsenal.”
