Scintillating Liverpool target is a fan of Arne Slot and is happy to make Anfield move

Liverpool have been tracking Bournemouth fullback Milos Kerkez all season and is reportedly a fan of Arne Slot and would be interested in making the move to Anfield if the Reds formalise their interest.

After reports this week linked Liverpool with a move to sign Dean Huijsen, the Cherries’ 19-year-old centre-back, they have been linked with Milos Kerkez again. The Hungarian has been incredible this season and it’s no surprise he is being linked with some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Liverpool may well be in the market for a left-back this summer with both Kostas Tsimikas and Andy Robertson not performing to the level expected. Both can be found guilty of losing concentration at key stages of games and it has cost the Reds at times this season.

Kerkez would be a fantastic player to add to Liverpool’s ranks and his performance against Liverpool and Mohamed Salah aside, the 21-year-old has been brilliant all season. A balanced blend of resolute defending and fearless attacking, Kerkez is an exciting target.

And now, it seems as though he would be excited about joining Liverpool if they approached Bournemouth with an official offer this summer.

Milos Kerkez is a fan of Arne Slot and Liverpool

Arne Slot chose to make just one addition to the squad he inherited in the summer but the window ahead promises to be far busier. If he chooses to make an upgrade at left-back, Kerkez seems a willing target.

According to iNews, Kerkez is “interested in the prospect of joining the Reds. Unlike Huijsen, there is no release clause in his contract, which will give the Cherries more command over his valuation and future.”

Liverpool would have to agree on a fee with Bournemouth but given the Reds’ new sporting director Richard Hughes spent several years with the Cherries, it’s hopeful that rapport can lead to smooth and successful negotiations.

It’s unclear what Liverpool’s plans are for Tsimikas and Robertson. While neither has been particularly impressive this season, they could both provide useful backup options but it seems unlikely that Robertson would be happy with a reserve role after starring for Liverpool since 2017.

Similarly, would Tsimikas be happy to watch another left-back arrive, replace Robertson and leave him to remain on the bench. Slot has a tricky job on his hands to keep everyone happy but if he plays his cards right, Kerkez could be a very useful new signing.
