Arsenal are now 13 points behind Liverpool, courtesy of the Gunners’ 0-0 draw at Nottingham Forest and the Reds’ 2-0 victory over Newcastle United.
Mikel Arteta’s charges were solid at the back, but once again, the lack of firepower due to their injury crisis up front cost them a win.
Now, BBC Sport pundit Aaron Lennon has discussed something Arsenal are doing that he reckons is “unusual” for the Gunners.

Lennon noted how Arsenal’s players seem to get more excited over winning a corner than they do from open-play situations.
The former Tottenham man says this is something people have “never seen” from Arsenal and it’s a “big worry” from him.
“Arsenal get more excited for a corner than they do from stuff in open play – it’s so unusual for Arsenal,” Lennon said on Football Daily.
“When you used to watch Arsenal it was playing through the lines, get it in to Martin Odegaard, silky football.
“Now you see them going up for a corner and you see them buzzing – like this is a real chance. We’ve never seen that from Arsenal. It’s a big worry for me.”
Why Arsenal seem to be celebrating corners
Put simply, Arsenal have become very good at corners, to the point that you can feel the dread among opposition fans when the Gunners win a corner.
A combination of work on the training ground, players who are superb at delivering from both flags and multiple tall and strong players to attack the box have turned the Gunners into a force from corners.
And with Arsenal’s front line so depleted from injuries, a corner kick now arguably presents the best chance for the Gunners to get a goal. It is very much a “real chance” for them.
However, Bukayo Saka’s injury has not only affected Arsenal’s open play threat, but also their threats from corners. The Gunners haven’t quite been as dangerous from them without him.
