Arsenal could earn big sell-on fee in the summer – Player can make big summer exit

Lazio signed Nuno Tavares from Arsenal on an initial loan deal with the obligation to buy him permanently.

The left-back has impressed in Serie A and has racked up eight assists, while playing 19 times in the league. It’s only been months since his arrival from the Premier League and he is attracting attention from other clubs.
Il Messaggero, as relayed by Calciomercato, have reported that Arsenal are set to benefit from interest.

AC Milan have set their sights on the Portuguese and see him as a replacement for Theo Hernandez, who the Rossoneri are resigned to losing in the summer transfer window.

As of now, Lazio value the full-back at around €40m and because of a sell-on clause, Arsenal will pocket 40% of that fee. This could mean that the Gunners can earn as much as €18m from Tavares’ transfer in the summer.

The likelihood is that interest in the 25-year-old will only increase and the Roman club will not budge from their asking price.
