Arne Slot has been enjoying his first season as Liverpool head coach, with just 10 Premier League matches left to play this term. The Reds return to top-flight action on Saturday when they host Southampton at Anfield, giving them the opportunity to extend their lead over Arsenal to 16 points.
Ahead of another important run of games for both Liverpool and Arsenal, Gunners director Josh Kroenke has arrived in the UK. Kroenke has been spotted at Arsenal's training ground, London Colney, a little over 24 hours before their Champions League tie against PSV Eindhoven.
Liverpool are also in Champions League action this week as they travel to face Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Wednesday. The Reds and Arsenal are on the same side of the draw and could meet each other in the semi-final if they both get past the last-16 and the quarter-final rounds of the competition.
It's unclear the exact reason why Kroenke has made the trip to the UK to visit Arsenal's training ground. The trip comes on the back of the Gunners losing to West Ham and drawing with Nottingham Forest to fall further behind Liverpool in the title race.
Should Liverpool claim a win over Southampton on Saturday, the Reds would have a 16-point advantage over Arsenal, who would then have two games in hand. A little over 24 hours later, the Gunners will take on Manchester United at Old Trafford in what could be another defining weekend in the race for the title.
They face going into the season run-in without a number of key players following injuries to Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
