Arsenal prepare €80 million offer for 26-year-old GOAL MACHINE

According to Fichajes, Arsenal would be willing to make an €80 million offer to sign Viktor Gyokeres in the summer window. The Sporting CP star emerged as one of the Gunners’ top striker targets in the past few days, with the club willing to invest big in the Swedish international.
Viktor Gyokeres has continued to have a goal-laden season with Sporting CP, following his exploits in the first campaign there. This term, the Swede has had a hand in 53 goals and assists for the Portuguese champions, who could be on course to winning back-to-back league titles.

In any case, this might be the Swede’s last season as the 26-year-old goal machine is eager to make a big career move to one of the top clubs. Arsenal have a big interest in Gyokeres, as reported over the last few days as the Gunners are serious about landing the striker as one of their top options on their list.

It’s no coincidence that the big link to the 26-year-old goal machine appeared hours after Andrea Berta was confirmed as Arsenal’s new Sporting Director. For over a year, the club had seen links with the striker, although there were doubts over his ability to cut it in the Premier League despite shining in Portugal.

In any case, Gyokeres could be made available for less than his current €100 million release clause, with the report stating Sporting CP wants at least €80 million to sell the striker. Arsenal, for their part, are reportedly open to paying that sort of money with an offer thought to be imminent in the €80 million region, which would test the Portuguese side’s resolve over their 26-year-old goal machine.

Arsenal to sign Viktor Gyokeres on priority?
Arsenal are indeed interested in Gyokeres although he’s not the only striker on their considerable list. Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak is seen as one of Mikel Arteta’s favourite options to lead the line, although the massive asking price from the Magpies could scupper a deal. They are also linked with Benjamin Sesko since last summer and he too could be an evolving option for the club to consider.

Gyokeres would be a cheaper option compared to Isak, with the Sporting CP star reportedly open to joining a club like Arsenal compared to others. Hence, the Swede’s situation is an evolving one, as there’s every chance that Berta will accelerate the pursuit of the 26-year-old goal machine ahead of the summer window.
