‘Everything is agreed’ – Arsenal player expected to sign contract to leave Gunners this week

Jorginho is expected to leave Arsenal when his contract at the Emirates expires at the end of this season.

Flamengo have shown keen interest in the midfielder and have been working on this case for the past few weeks.

On February 23rd, RTI Esporte stated the Arsenal player is unlikely to move to Brazil due to ‘family pressure’. Two days later, Bolavip Brasil reported his entourage are expecting to receive offers from Juventus.

Brazilian journalist Venê Casagrande took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide the latest on the 33-year-old.

Despite earlier claims of the family pressure and possible offer from Juventus, Flamengo are still in the picture to sign him. In fact, Casagrande claims they have made progress to acquire the Brazil-born Italy international’s services.

He reports ‘everything is agreed’ between Flamengo and the Arsenal player for a three-year contract. The journalist adds the South American club have been informed that he is expected to sign the pre-contract ‘this week’.

Lawyers will be contacted to draw up the paperwork so that Jorginho can arrive at the Brazilian club for free in the summer.

Jorginho played 1,201 minutes from 23 games for Arsenal this season.
