Arne Slot can boast a strong squad at Anfield – one good enough to sit 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League – although Liverpool still require some fine tuning this summer in a few areas.

TBR Football have been told Liverpool like Bournemouth No.2 Dean Huijsen amid doubts over the fitness of Joe Gomez, and the fact Virgil van Dijk is still yet to sign a new contract.
However, sources have now told TBR Football that Liverpool are ready to open talks with Bournemouth in a bid to sign another of their defenders – Milos Kerkez.
Liverpool confident of reaching Milos Kerkez agreement
Graeme Bailey – Chief Correspondent at TBR Football – has now been informed that Liverpool are ready to begin negotiating for the Hungary international.
We understand the Reds have been doing their homework on a number of left-backs as Slot aims to find a replacement for Kostas Tsimikas, with any new arrival expected to compete against Andy Robertson for a starting role.
Liverpool have looked at Fulham No.33 Antonee Robinson, Wolves No.3 Rayan Ait-Nouri and Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato, although the Reds are now ready to advance on a deal for Kerkez.
TBR Football have been told Bournemouth are ready to let the Hungarian leave this summer for a fee of £50m – much more than the £15m it took to sign him from AZ Alkmaar in July 2023.

Liverpool – however – value Kerkez at closer to £40m, although sources stress that there is a belief on all sides that an agreement will be reached in the coming weeks.
It is understood Liverpool have done extensive background checks on Kerkez – even speaking to the representatives of his fellow Hungary international Dominik Szoboszlai about the defender – and are happy to proceed.
Bournemouth have already signed a replacement in Julio Soler, who started on Sunday as the Cherries lost 2-1 against Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-final.
Liverpool also confident about another deal
Not only do the Reds believe they can sign Kerkez, but TBR Football have also been told Liverpool are confident of signing Alexander Isak from Newcastle this summer.
We understand Liverpool are prepared to smash their club-record transfer fee to sign the Sweden international, with Darwin Nunez expected to be sold.
