Liverpool retain a healthy advantage over Arsenal, who look unlikely to make up the 12 point deficit. That means Arne Slot's side could be confirmed as champions sooner rather than later.

The race for the Champions League is more intriguing with a host of teams still in the mix. Manchester City, amid their struggles, are not yet guaranteed a top-four finish.
And at the bottom, Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich Town all would appear to be destined for an instant return to the Championship bar a miraculous turnaround in form - but stranger things have happened.
Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest news from around the Premier League...
Cunha confirms exit plan
One of Arsenal's biggest disappointments this season will undoubtedly be their failure to bring in a new striker in either transfer window. The Gunners' lack of firepower has cost them and caused them to be left behind by Arne Slot's impressive Liverpool team, which boasts star forwards like Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo.
Arsenal were linked with a host of strikers in January, including Newcastle's Alexander Isak, Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Wolves star Matheus Cunha. Unfortunately for Arteta, no move came to fruition for any of those players, despite the club making a late move for Watkins, with a transfer for Cunha also ruled out after he signed a new contract at Molineux.
But now the Brazilian - who has 13 goals for Vitor Pereira's side this season - has now revealed he wants a new challenge next season and challenge for honours at the highest level. Arsenal could be given hope of striking a deal for Cunha in the summer after he insisted he wanted to "fight for titles", saying it was not possible for him to leave mid-season.

Mohamed Salah shared a clip of Alexander-Arnold on his Instagram story following a week of fervent speculation about the defender's future. Alexander-Arnold is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer when his Liverpool contract expires at the end of the season and Salah, who is also out of contract in the summer, prompted more speculation with his post.
In the clip, Ibrahima Konate and Dominik Szoboszlai can be seen in conversation before the camera pans to Alexander-Arnold. The clip does not include any audio.

Manchester United’s chief operating officer Collette Roche has been shortlisted as a candidate to become Newcastle’s new chief executive. Roche is understood to have drawn interest from the Magpies as they look to appoint a successor for Darren Eales.
While Ineos’ arrival just over a year ago brought about widespread changes at the club, Roche has been one of the rare examples of continuity behind the scenes. She has seen her role expanded under in the Sir Jim Ratcliffe era and is a valued member of the executive team.

As COO, she has taken a hands-on role in the football department, helping with the development of the training ground and the plans for a new stadium at Old Trafford. Eales was appointed in August 2022 at Newcastle and is stepping down from his position after being diagnosed with a chronic form of blood cancer.
