Mikel Arteta's side went into the game off the back of a defeat and draw in the Premier League but came flying out the blocks, scoring three goals in the first half and another four in the second.
It's only the second time in the club's history that they've scored seven in the competition, and amazingly, they could have scored a few more.
Arsenal's biggest Champions League wins (timeless)
Unsurprisingly, there were brilliant performances all over the pitch for the Gunners, but two starters stood out, one of whom was Ethan Nwaneri.
Nwaneri's incredible performance vs PSV
It was yet another start in the Champions League for the 17-year-old Nwaneri, and yet again, he was spectacular.

The Hale End dynamo was here, there and everywhere against the Dutch side, taking on defenders, playing superb crosses into the box and playing his part in the visitors' stifling high press.
On top of that, the tremendously exciting prospect also grabbed his second goal in the competition when he got on the end of a pass from fellow academy graduate Myles Lewis-Skelly and drilled it into the roof of the net.
We were not the only ones blown away by the Enfeild-born star's display, as the Standard's Simon Collings awarded him an 8/10 match rating at full-time and described it as just 'another magical performance'.
While it might sound a little hyperbolic, it's an opinion backed up by the statistics, as in his 71 minutes of action, he produced a combined expected goal and assists figure of 0.65, scored a goal, took two shots on target, succeeded in 100% of his dribbles and took 24 touches.

In short, Nwaneri was utterly brilliant last night, but one of his teammates was even better and put in his best performance of the season.
Arsenal's best player vs PSV
In good news for Arteta, you could make a case for a number of his players being the best against PSV last night, but when it comes down to brass tax, we reckon it has to be Martin Odegaard.

Now, it would be fair to say that the Norwegian's first-half performance encapsulated his overall season in the sense that it wasn't great.
However, in the second 45, the former Real Madrid wonderkid came to life and put in what has to be his best display of the campaign so far.
The "phenomenal" midfielder, as dubbed by Paul Merson, was pulling the strings in the middle of the park, scored two well-taken goals and picked up an assist from the sensational ball he played into Riccardo Calafiori's path for the Gunners' seventh.
Again, we weren't the only ones blown away by the 26-year-old as, like the UCL themselves, Collings named him his man of the match and awarded him a 9/10 rating, writing that it was a 'monster performance.'

Unsurprisingly, the Drammen-born ace's statistics more than justify his praise.
In 94 minutes of action, he produced a combined expected goals and assists figure of 0.58, scored two goals, provided one assist, took 53 touches, played three key passes, was accurate in 100% of his long balls, took two shots on target and created one big chance.

Ultimately, Arsenal were spectacular against PSV last night, and while Nwaneri was one of their most impressive players, Odegaard was somehow just that little bit better.
