Kerkez, Nunez, Isak - Who Liverpool could sign and sell in transfer window after first deal done

Real Madrid were rebuffed in their late-December advances but the La Liga giants have been free to discuss terms ahead of a move as a free agent since January 1. Liverpool remain hopeful they can keep the West Derby-born defender for the remainder of his 20s as things stand.

However, with such three major contract issues hanging over the squad as a whole, it is unclear exactly what Liverpool are willing and able to do this summer as Hughes and the recruitment team continue to work behind the scenes.

Replacing all three is a nigh-on impossible job given the levels performed this season, particularly Van Dijk and Salah, but a resolution of their respective futures allows the focus to shift to other areas of the squad.
