‘Never’: £60m player’s father-in-law says he’s absolutely not signing for Arsenal

Arsenal are going to be in the market for some new attacking talents in the summer.

The Gunners are short in a number of attacking positions at the moment, as their recent injury crisis has shown.

Kai Havertz is out for the season, while Bukayo Saka is also injured, highlighting Arsenal’s lack of depth up front and on the wing.

Meanwhile, a new winger could also be on the agenda for Arsenal, Nico Williams has been linked to Arsenal in recent times, while Arsenal scouted Takefusa Kubo last year.

Jarrod Bowen has previously been linked to Arsenal, but according to Bowen’s famous father-in-law, Danny Dyer, speaking to the BBC, the winger is never going to sign for Arsenal.

Jarrod Bowen will never join Arsenal
Danny Dyer was speaking to the BBC ahead of the release of his new film, and, inevitably, talk turned towards his beloved West Ham United and his son-in-law, Jarrod Bowen.

The host, cheekily, asked Dyer about Bowen potentially signing for Arsenal.

The actor was quick to shoot down those links though, claming that this will never happen and that Bowen loves West Ham as a club.

“What if Jarrod Bowen signs for Arsenal,” Dyer was asked.

“That’s a stupid question. It’s never going to happen. Never, that man is my son-in-law, he’s not going anywhere. He’s very happy. He loves West Ham and West Ham love him,” Dyer said.

“He’s a leader, it does hurt the Declan Rice thing but I would argue Jarrod Bowen is a better player. We did ruin their season, so happy days for us, we want to get this season out of the way and go again.”

Jarrod Bowen record vs Arsenal
Dyer says that Bowen will never sign for Arsenal, and that’s bad news for the Gunners in more ways than one.

Indeed, not only does that mean that the Gunners will never sign one of the top attackers in England, it means that they’ll continue to have to face off against Bowen.

Bowen has been one of Arsenal’s chief tormentors in recent times, recently scoring the only goal in West Ham’s 1-0 win against the Gunners last month.

Bowen’s overall stats against Arsenal are very solid.

Jarrod Bowen record vs Arsenal
Games 12
Goals 5
Asssts 2
Seven goal contributions in 12 games against a team like Arsenal for a team like West Ham is a fantastic return, and if Dyer’s comments are anything to go by, Bowen will be at West Ham for a long time yet.

Of course, money talks in football, so there’s no guarantee that Bowen will stay at West Ham, but, by the sounds of things, Dyer is confident that Bowen won’t be leaving the London Stadium
