The 25-year-old has been long linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners showed interest before he joined Juventus from Fiorentina in January 2022. At that time, Vlahovic was at the peak of his powers, having scored 21 goals in 40 matches in 2020/21 before adding 20 in 24 at the start of the following season.
However, Arsenal failed to get a deal over the line for Vlahovic and he ended up moving to Juventus for £58m plus add-ons. Since his blockbuster switch to Turin, Vlahovic has not quite hit the same form. The Serbian international recorded his prolific season for Juve in 2023/24, netting 18 times in 38 appearances.
With this in mind, there is an expectation that Vlahovic is going to leave Juve this summer. He has less than 18 months on his contract and Juve haven't yet reached an agreement to renew his deal.
Tutto Juve report that Arsenal are 'ready to move' for Vlahovic and can take advantage of the failed contract negotiations. It's added that the Gunners intend to hols talks with the Serie A club in due course.
A fee in the region of £25m - less than half of the amount Juve paid three years ago - could be enough to secure his services. Juve may demand more but could have to settle that for that price due to his contract situation.
If Vlahovic doesn't sign a new contract, the summer transfer window will be Juve's last chance to cash in from his sale. Else, the Italian outfit could lose Vlahovic as a free agent in June 2026.
After Vlahovic was dropped to the bench for a Serie A game against Como last month, Juve boss Thiago Motta addressed rumours surrounding the forward and admitted he can count on him for the future.
"I see him in great shape, just like everyone else," Motta said of Vlahovic. "They’re all motivated and determined. Tomorrow, as usual, we have many players, but not everyone can play, even though they all want to.
"Whether they play 95 minutes, 15, or 30, they know that in a season, the quality of minutes matters more than quantity. Dusan has already done a lot, and I’m sure that if he plays tomorrow, he will contribute. We count on him for the future as well."
