UNBELIEVABLE:Aaron Ramsdale next transfer decision made just months after Arsenal exit

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale is expected to leave Southampton at the end of the season - as and when the Saints' likely relegation from the Premier League is confirmed.
Southampton currently sit bottom of the table with just nine points. They are 17 points adrift from safety with only nine games of the campaign remaining and manager Ivan Juric admitted that his team were all but down following last weekend's 2-0 home defeat against Wolves.

It has not been the season that Ramsdale would have hoped for when he made the move to Southampton from Arsenal back in the summer. He completed a £25million move to St Mary's back in August after losing his starting place at the Emirates Stadium the previous season.

Last month, it was claimed that Ramsdale has a relegation release clause in his contract which would allow him to depart the club should they drop back down to the Championship. It is thought that Southampton would struggle to afford his current reported £120,000 per-week wages once relegation is confirmed.

The Sun now report that Southampton expect the goalkeeper to leave this summer, and are already making plans for who will replace him in goal. The report says that the club will bring loanee Gavin Bazunu back into the starting XI, with the Republic of Ireland international currently on loan with Standard Liege.

Chelsea are one of the sides previously linked with an interest in Ramsdale this summer. Robert Sanchez has been criticised for his performances this season, and was replaced by Filip Jorgnsen in goal for a few games.

Sanchez has, however, since been drafted back in into the starting XI by Blues boss Enzo Maresca. That has not stopped the club being linked with possible goalkeeper transfers in the summer - with Ramsdale just one of the names mentioned. Newcastle United, West Ham United and AFC Bournemouth are just three of the other teams who have been credited with an interest over the last few weeks.
