‘Already’: Theo Walcott says he’s noticed something incredible about Ethan Nwaneri off the pitch

Arsenal could be set for a season to remember as they’re on the verge of making the Champions League semi-finals for the first time in over a decade.

Arsenal are set to fall short in the Premier League title race, but there have still been plenty of positives to take away from this season.

Arsenal are expected to get past Real Madrid, so the Champions League dream is still on, while, away from Europe, there have been some exciting emerging young players.

Myles Lewis-Skelly has earned tons of praise for his performances this season, and he’s already an England international, while Ethan Nwaneri surely can’t be far behind.

Nwaneri has been hailed as the next big thing, and speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Theo Walcott has been discussing this young man and his stature already.
What Theo Walcott has noticed about Ethan Nwaneri
Walcott spoke about Nwaneri’s ability and how he acts off the pitch too.

Despite being 17 years old, Walcott says that Nwaneri already has a real presence about him, claiming that he’s almost got this classy arrogance about him due to how confident he is in his abilities.

“Oh, goodness me, wow. Do you know what, we saw a lot of him very early because we had to because of all of the injuries they’ve had. He has a stature off the field already at his age, if you see him, he has a good presence in sort of an arrogant way.

“He’s good with people, but on the field he expresses everything that his gifts allow him to.

“I feel like at some point he will be putting pressure on my boy Bukayo and particularly Odegaard.

“He can operate in a lot of positions, but he can play in that left of 10. It’s exciting because having these players will bring the best out of everyone.”

What is Ethan Nwaneri like?
Theo Walcott said that Nwaneri has this arrogance about him, and, often, that can have negative connotations.

Indeed, arrogance is usually a bad trait, but in Nwaneri’s case, it’s a by-product of his confidence.

Make no mistake about it, this isn’t a player who is going to let things to to his head.

By all accounts, Nwaneri is a brilliant professional behind-the-scenes.

“The personality he has, he trains with us like he trains with the under-18s or under-16s and I love that in a player. He’s got that bit between his teeth as well that he wants to show every single day how good he is and to impress people,” Arteta said.

This is a young player who could be headed to the very top of the game, and Arsenal have a real gem on their hands here.

This teenager could well morph into a world-class player one day.
