Exclusive: West Ham are ready to sell £40m star after strong interest from Arsenal

West Ham United are ready to push ahead with the sale of Mohammed Kudus this summer, TBR Football can reveal.

Kudus has made 29 appearances for West Ham this season scoring three goals and providing three assists – an indifferent season by his standards.
Arne Slot praised Kudus after he faced Liverpool last weekend, but the 24-year-old ultimately lacked the end product to decide the game, which is perhaps a microcosm of his season, even if he has so much talent.

West Ham want to be able to make substantial changes to Graham Potter’s squad this summer, but the club do have PSR concerns.

Therefore to do so, the Hammers need to raise funds and their most profitable sale would be Kudus — they are refusing to even consider selling Jarrod Bowen.

West Ham want to sell Mohammed Kudus to rebuild under Graham Potter
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Kudus is open to the idea of joining the Saudi Pro League, a move West Ham are pushing him towards.

Kudus has a release clause of just over £80m and there has been some interest in him, even in January.

Arsenal were showing strong interest in Kudus in the New Year, whilst Liverpool and Newcastle United were also keeping close tabs on him.

However, the interest within England and Europe is not at the level close to his clause and perhaps nearer to £50m.

Therefore, West Ham are ready to push Kudus to Saudi – enabling them to pocket a substantial profit on a player they paid Ajax just shy of £40m for in 2023.

Mohammed Kudus would be open to joining the Saudi Pro League
Fortunately for West Ham, Kudus has been receptive to the idea of switching the Premier League for Saudi Arabia, a move that is becoming much more common.

The Pro League have been looking at raiding the Premier League, especially for attacking talent and they tried and failed with a record bid for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Kaoru Mitoma in January.

Of course, Al-Nassr did manage to secure a deal for Aston Villa’s Jhon Duran and they will return with fresh bids for a number of Premier League talents this summer.

As a result, Kudus is very much seen as an active option for Saudi clubs, a deal that would seemingly suit all parties.

So whilst clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool have shown credible interest in Kudus, it seems as the 24-year-old could be the latest high-profile name to leave the Premier League.
